How to Shift Your Energy and Raise Your Vibration

Throughout my childhood, I loved reading the Mr. Men book series. Just like so many other children throughout the world, I found joy in the fact that different emotions and energy were represented by different shapes. As I grew into my role as an intuitive healer, I began to realize that we humans are not so different from the characters in the Mr. Men series. However, instead of taking on the external shape of an emotion, our energy and vibrational frequency can shift to reflect what we are feeling. Although it is important to feel your feelings as they come to you, taking on the energy shape of your emotions over a long period is not always healthy, especially if those emotions are negative. Mindfulness shows us that over-identifying with an emotion can inhibit our ability to come up with a solution for whatever is causing that negative emotion. That’s why it is important to learn how to shift your energy shapes and raise your vibration. In this article, I will discuss the benefits of shifting your energy and walk you through a guided exercise that you can do no matter where you are. What is Energy Shapeshifting?

Energy shapeshifting is a simple yet powerful exercise that uses mindfulness to help you overcome boundaries and begin to heal your energy. If you feel like you’ve been stuck with a certain emotion for too long or a complicated obstacle is getting the best of you, energy shapeshifting is a good place to start. This practice is amazing because it can help you identify solutions to any obstacles or challenges that you are currently facing. Anyone can do this exercise whether they are at their desk, walking their dog, or cooking dinner for their family. As with any mindfulness exercise, energy shapeshifting is most effective when you begin with an intention.

How to Shapeshift Your Energy

First, think of a situation or challenge you are currently facing that is causing you grief or stress. This could be a conflict you are facing at work, perhaps you're trying to help your child with their homework, or resolving an issue in your personal life.

As you envision this situation, remind yourself that the emotions you feel are not permanent. They are subject to change, along with the situation itself.

Next, shift your mind toward something that you think of as wonderful in your life. Let the positive energy that this makes you feel radiate through you. This positive energy could come from envisioning your happy place, spending time with a loved one, or simply doing something that brings you joy. I like to imagine myself laying on the beach underneath the warm, radiant sunshine.

As you take a deep breath, you will feel this wonderful, positive energy flow through your body and warm your spirit from the inside out. Hold on to this feeling and let it wash over you. It may help to envision the positive energy filling the contents of your body as if it were a cup. Once your cup becomes full, refocus all of that light and positive energy on whatever it is that was bringing you trouble at the beginning of the exercise.

Continue to hold this energy in your mind while you consider positive solutions to the issue that you are facing. Once you are able to come to a solution that you can make peace with, the exercise has concluded.

Trust The Process

While this exercise is powerful in helping you uncover solutions and conquer challenges, reality tends to throw us some mean curve balls from time to time. If things don’t go exactly how you envisioned them or how you expected, try again. Just like everything else in life, coming up with effective solutions to challenging situations can take time and dedication. For that reason, you may need to repeat this exercise a few times before you can move forward with a clear head. Don’t give up! Instead, trust the process.
