What is Masculine Energy?
Masculine energy is an essential part of accomplishing tasks and getting things done. It is characterized by doing and is fueled by logic and reason. When you are channeling your masculine energy, you will feel more goal-oriented, confident, and focused on achieving your goals. Masculine energy is represented by the sun, so it is only fitting that our masculine side is amplified during the daytime. Based on what we know about masculine energy, it is safe to say that masculine expansive energy is enhanced during standard working hours of 9 am to 5 pm. For most people, hard work happens when the sun is high in the sky. This, of course, could have something to do with the sun lighting up our world and allowing us to see what we are doing. However, experiencing your masculine energy during the day is an important part of maintaining balance and getting enough sleep in the evening hours.
What is Feminine Energy?
Feminine energy, on the other hand, is more intuitive and receptive. This energy is characterized by being rather than doing. When you are channeling your feminine energy, you will feel more creative and in tune with your internal emotions. The moon is a symbol of femininity because of its cyclical nature, so we can conclude that feminine energy is at its peak during the evening hours when the moon is out. Of course, because we are working during the masculine hours of the day, we will have to sleep during the feminine hours. With that said, in recent years there has been a rise in flexible work schedules allowing individuals to work from home and perhaps catch a nap in the afternoon, allowing them to feel refreshed and receive another burst of productivity in the early evening. Have you ever felt a sudden spark of creativity late at night? If so, you’re not alone! The past few years have contributed to the rise of many individuals' creative forces in action during the evening hours. In turn, this has manifested into a true sense of balance in the natural flow of masculine and feminine energies within a 24-hour time period. One helpful tip for making the most of this creative feminine energy is to keep a notebook at your bed so you can write down your thoughts and ideas if you wake up during the night.
How Can Channeling Your Feminine Energy Help You Sleep?
As we’ve established, the night and the darkness that it brings can enhance feminine energy. This is when the Earth exhales and relaxes. It is a time of receiving intuition and creates perfect moments for ideas to bubble to the surface of our consciousness. This creativity can be great when we know how to apply it. However, I have seen a recent rise in my clients struggling with maintaining their sleep patterns. Sleep disturbances can be caused by a variety of different factors. However, I like to address these issues from a unique perspective that allows us to tune in to our energy balances.

While these tips can help you achieve a restful night’s sleep, there is still a possibility that you will wake up at some point in the night, especially the first few nights. If you do wake up, be gentle with yourself, remain still, breathe deeply, and follow your imagination back into a state of rest. If you have any ideas, feel free to write them down in your bedside notebook and take action toward them in the following days. If you wake up in the middle of the night and are greeted with worries, this could be your intuition pointing you in the direction of a potential solution. In this case, it may be helpful to repeat this affirmation to yourself:
“I am awake in this moment and much closer to feeling my creative force which brings me solutions to all my worries.”
You can even write this message on the front of your notebook to remind yourself to listen to your intuition in these moments.
Sleep Well - I believe we are all being guided to tap into these moments in the middle of the night to find our creative force, so we can change the world and live our lives in harmony with each other and the planet. Sleep well. Inspiration is already on its way.
